Fanfare and Theme on Before the Throne (Vikki Cook, arr. Andrew Wainwright) was written for the New York Staff Band’s All Star weekend in 2012. This “bolero-esque” approach to such a regal tune is both inspiring and exciting to play.

PROGRAM NOTE
Fanfare and Theme on Before theThrone was written at the request of Ron Waiksnoris and the New York Staff Band for the Future All Stars weekend 2012. It is based on the popular contemporary worship song Before the Throne of God Above, by Vikki Cook. Commencing with a majestic cornet and trombone fanfare, it moves into a bolero-style treatment. The fanfare later returns, before a triumphant conclusion.
