David J. Evans’ (b. 1957) contemporary hymn “Be Still for the Presence of the Lord” has been popular since it was first written in 1986. This arrangement has two simple settings of the tune separated by a chaotic middle section, which is an intentional contrast. In the middle of the chaos of life, we should still seek to “Be Still in the Presence of the Lord” because “The Holy One is here.”
