This arrangement presents a paean of praise in the form of an opener for either a worship service or a festival of praise.  It is possible that the inspiration for this magnificent hymn of the church came from the Psalmist when he said in Psalm 45:2, “Thou art fairer than the children of men.”  Combined with the well-known hymn tune, Crusader’s Hymn, the message fins loudly and clearly:

Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor,

Thou, my soul’s glory, joy, and crown!
