Inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1981, Ira F. Stanphill has composed more than 550 songs, including “Happiness Is the Lord” and “Mansion Over a Hilltop.” This song was written in 1974 while he was a pastor at a Ft. Worth, Texas, church.
