Laurie Klein's, “I Love You Lord” was written in 1974 as praise offering to God during a time of struggle in her life.   This simple melody with simple text is indeed a prayer that reminds us to lift our voices unto to our Lord in worship, for God longs to hear the sweet sound of our praises. 

I love You Lord and I lift my voice

To worship You O my soul, rejoice!

Take joy, my King in what you hear

May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.
