The song “Lord, I’m Coming Home” was written in 1892 by William J. Kirkpatrick during a camp meeting in Rawlinsville, PA. Kirkpatrick became aware that his soloist was an unbeliever and, after praying for the young man, penned the words to this song. After singing the song that night, the soloist knelt in prayer and became a Christian!
