Program Notes:
If The Salvation Army were a country, this hymn would surely be its national anthem! Ever since the Founder, William Booth, penned these words in 1893, “O Boundless Salvation” has been a rallying theme of this world-wide movement. General Booth announced this song when he appeared in public for the last time at his 83rd birthday celebrations in the Royal Albert Hall, on May 9, 1912.
Although there are seven verses to the song, this is a three-verse setting.
