Program Notes:

This hymn, written by Washington Gladden (1826-1918) was first published in 1879 as a poem.  The arrangement reflects the words of the first verse, “O Master, let me walk with Thee”, and the third verse, “Teach me Thy patience, still with Thee in closer, dearer company”, and features the hymn tune, Maryton (H. Percy Smith, 1825-1898).
