Here is a re-imagining of the familiar gospel song with words by Daniel Webster Whittle (1840-1901) and music by James McGranahan (1840-1907), this time with a Caribbean flair. The melody fits the style, and the message of blessings received is universal.

There shall be showers of blessing:

This is the promise of love;

There shall be seasons refreshing,

Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,

Showers of blessing we need;

Mercy drops round us are falling,

But for the showers we plead.
