The “Queen of Gospel Song,” Fanny Crosby (1820-1915), wrote over 8000 songs and hymns, many of which are still favorites today. “Redeemed” is one of these old favorites, and pairs Fanny Crosby’s text with a melody by her equally prolific colleague, William James Kirkpatrick (1839-1921). This solo attempts to capture the rapturous joy of redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ.
